About Funky Dance Night - Raimund FlöckRaimund Flöck, born in the black forest town Freiburg discovered already his love to music, when he was just two years old. The record collection of his parents made him curious for discovering more musical stuff. So it was quite liogical that he had to study in one of the music capitals of the world: London. At the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC he worked as a producer and music coordinator. In London he could make his first steps to a jazz & funk DJ due to his intensive collecting of jazz & funk albums before. Step by step he became one of the most wanted jazz & funk DJ's in Europe as he played several times in a lot of Euopean capitals like London or Vienna. He was the residency DJ in the Jazzcafe London, UK and he still is the DJ in the Jazzhaus Freiburg, Germany. As a producer he became part of the Vienna Scientists Label: his subsequent critically acclaimed compilation A FAMILY AFFAIR which demonstrated all the aspects of NuFunk got in the breakbeat scene a similar status like the Kruder & Dorfmeister Sessions Compilation. In 2004 Raimund Flöck put his djing to the next level and included live musicians in his DJ sets. So every set has become a live session "DJ meets live musicians" and is also is party guarantee. As a result of his long lasting work Raimund Flöck compiled in the end of 2006 a album compilation called „Funky Dance Night“.

Über Funky Dance Night - Raimund FlöckWenn eine Veranstaltung seit über zehn Jahren besteht und nach wie vor die Massen anzieht, kann man davor nur den Hut ziehen. Seit eben dieser langen Zeit bittet DJ Raimund Flöck zweimal im Monat gelegentlich mit Gast DJ's oder Live-Einlagen zum Tanz ins Jazzhaus. Musikalisch gibt's Funk, Downbeats der Wiener Schule, Drum'n'Bass bis NuJazz immer genügend auf die Ohren. Und eben genau dieser unverkennbare Funky Dance Night Sound erwarten einen nun auch auf dieser CD. Die von Flöck ausgewählten Songs und Künstler sollten dem regelmäßigen Besucher doch bekannt vorkommen. Vertreten sind u.a. Dublex Inc. (Tango Forte), Trüby Trio (A-Go-Go), Thunderball, Quantic, Alice Russel, Freedom Satellite und London Elektricity, die alle in der langen Zeit auch bereits selbst bei der Funky Dance Night zu Gast waren. Als kleinen Bonus gibt es noch eine Live-Einlage von PlasmaBeatz vs. Wah Wah 45 zu hören, selbstverständlich auch eines der Markenzeichen der Partynacht. Für jeden Fan und regelmäßigen Gast der Funky Dance Night ist dieser Soundtrack ein absolutes Muss, und für alle, die noch nie da waren, bietet dieses Album eine sehr gute Vorstellung, was einen dort erwartet...
