Bowel Function are four hungry men full of energy who celebrate bulky but melodic Heavy Rock. The metal rock quartet from Freiburg, Germany bids farewell to the status of a local act with their current release "Silverpain" which paths the way to a professional career.

Bowel Function does not have to dread comparisons to great names in the Heavy scene, due to well playing live shows. On the latest album "Silverpain" you will find catchy hook lines, choruses & distinctive - crunching riffs that today's heavy-league often lacks.

Brute riffs a la Metallica, doubled Maiden guitars, a voice between James Hetfield, Zakk Wylde & Chris Cornel and some shots of punk rock - that's the best way to describe the sound of Bowel Function. Old school meets new school - without covering important bands! Pure steam hammers rock!

At the end of February 2009 the new album of Bowel Function will be released! Watch out!

Bowel Function – das sind 4 hungrige, energiegeladene junge Männer, die wuchtigen aber melodiösen Heavy Rock zelebrieren. Mit dem aktuellen Release der CD "Silverpain" verabschiedet sich das Freiburger Metalrockquartett nun vom Regioband-Status…der Weg ins Profimusikerlager ist somit geebnet.

Internationale Vergleiche mit Größen aus der Heavy-Szene brauchen Bowel Function nicht zu scheuen; denn sowohl live als auch auf dem Silberling "Silverpain" sind geniale Hooklines & unverkennbare Refrains auszumachen, die die Heavy-Liga heute nur allzu oft vermissen lässt.

Brachiale Riffs à la Metallica, doppelläufige Maiden – Gitarren, eine Stimme zwischen James Hetfield & Zakk Wylde und ein Schuss Punk Rock….so könnte man den Sound von Bowel Function am besten beschreiben. Inzwischen haben die vier Jungs die Aufnahmen zum neuen Album abgeschlossen, welches Ende Februar 2009 auf Jazzhaus Records erscheinen wird!
